This fun and educational adventure shines the spotlight on how our ancestors lived\, survived and thrived in challenging\, harsh and often dangerous conditions. \n‘Surviving the Stone Age’ runs daily during the school holidays from Saturday 19th July to Monday 1st September 2025 and is included with a Cheddar Gorge & Caves Day Ticket\, giving access to six incredible attractions. \nJoin our expert hunter-gatherers as they bring the Stone Age to life through fun\, family-friendly demonstrations. Watch mesmerising fire lighting shows. See how our ancestors crafted tools vital for their daily survival. Enjoy interactive and captivating storytelling sessions that reveal how our ancestors ‘survived every day\, the Stone Age way!’. \nDaily Activity Schedule: \n\n11am and 2pm – Fire Lighting: Watch fire come to life using traditional Stone Age techniques. Discover the skills that kept our ancestors warm\, fed\, and safe.\n12pm and 3pm – Survival Tools: See how prehistoric tools were crafted and used\, showcasing the innovation and craftsmanship of early humans.\n1pm and 4pm – ‘Imagine Life in the Stone Age’. A lively interactive storytelling session that paints a vivid picture of daily life in the Stone Age.\n\nPlus\, there’s a lot more to do throughout the day: \n\nAsk our hunter-gatherer team questions about life in prehistoric times.\nKids can get into character in our Stone Age dress-up corner.\nPut your newly found knowledge to the test and take on a fun museum quiz or complete the ‘Surviving the Stone Age’ activity sheet – packed with fun challenges and puzzles.\nThere’s a special edition ‘Surviving the Stone Age’ sticker to take home too.\n\nIt’s a perfect day out for curious minds! \nYour Day Ticket also includes access to six incredible attractions: \n\nGough’s Cave – Explore the awe-inspiring stalactite cave where Cheddar Man\, Britain’s oldest and most complete human skeleton\, was discovered.
